resident: Diane Sharp-Nachsin

Ping-Pong is welcoming Diane Sharp-Nachsin as our next resident!

Diane is Artistic Director and primary choreographer of SHARP Dance Company, a modern dance organisation founded following a career-altering injury in 2006.

Over the past fifteen years, SHARP Dance Company has traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad, performing in theaters, festivals, and alternative spaces that challenge the boundaries of traditional concert dance.

Diane will stay at Ping-Pong in July, where she will continue developing DNA, an ongoing choreographic project exploring ancestry through movement and visual storytelling, with a focus on researching European heritage through artistic exchange.

Diane’s work has been commissioned by institutions including Mid Atlantic Ballet, The Governor’s School, Pennsylvania State University, and the New Zealand Embassy, each collaboration reinforcing her interest in dance as a multidisciplinary and communicative practice.

We are excited to host Diane at Ping-Pong and look forward to sharing her work with our community in the coming weeks.
