Resident Relfection: Federico Tejeda
During my time in Berlin, which coincided with Berlin Art Week, I was struck by how many different roles art can play across the city—from institutions and independent spaces to public space and subcultures. Moving between them, I kept noticing how art creates spaces for exchange and collective identity, often through communities with their own particular logics and ethos.
What stayed with me most was how art keeps the past alive in the present. It questions and reworks that past while still leaving room for what comes next. I left thinking of art as something that's always in motion. It can be a way of remembering, and it can also be a way of pushing back and changing things.
